R 22 freon has been found to be bad for the environment. Starting in January 2010 R 22 freon will no longer be installed in residential HVAC equipment. R 410A and R 22 components should never be mixed when a cooper line set is not able to be replaced it should be tested for leakage if good new approved flushing kits work great to clean and remove any R 22 oil and residue from the lines. If reusing and converting copper line sets to work with R410A they must be the correct size required or they must be replace.
